The Toponymic Inventory of Settlements of the Community of Andalusia (ITACA) is a project in progress that requires the participation of the municipalities and provincial councils to validate the delimitation of the settlements and normalize their denominations. To this end, a web viewer has been enabled that, with the help of the most recent orthophoto and some form tables, allows resolving discrepancies detected between different sources.

The validated names will be part of the Geographic Nomenclature of Andalusia and the National Geographic Nomenclature, constituted by the georeferenced names that should be used in the official cartography.
