Detailed Topographic Maps (1:5.000-1:10.000), consists of a set of cartographies at precise scale (1:5.000 and 1:10.000), which represent the most significant elements of the territory using conventional symbols: relief, geographical names, hidrography, roads and transport infrastructures, buildings, administrative boundaries, etc.
They were produced by photogrammetric restitution of aerial photographs at scales 1: 18.000 -1:25.000.
Among these set of maps it stands out the project Topographic Map of Andalusia . Three series of this cartography, covering the whole region, were made between 1993 - 1997, 2001-2002 and 2006-2007. Currently is being carried out the one corresponding to 2013 which is produced as result of the graphic explotaition of data from the Reference Cartographic Database of Andalusia (BCA) 1:10.000.
Detailed Topographic Maps is distributed by MTA10.000 sheets in JP2000 (.jp2), TIFF (.tif) and PDF (.pdf) formats to be downloaded. A web map service (wms) for visualisation is also provided.
