Reference Cartographic Database of Andalusia (BCA) 1:10.000 is made up of spatial data sets of a topographic nature, restored by photogrammetric techniques from PNOA flights and that make up the structuring elements of the territory: relief, communication infrastructures, hydrographic network, constructions, settlement, parcelling, apparent place names, etc. It is conceived as a product to be exploited through GIS or cartographic processing tools, either for its conversion into maps or as data to be integrated into a spatial analysis process. The BCA10 comes to give continuity to the project of "Vector Topographic Map 1:10.000", but with notable technological improvements. The photogrammetric restitution incorporates the third dimension in the structuring elements, and the most rigorous quality control processes guarantee a high precision. The number of elements has been extended as well as the descriptive characteristics of them.
