Andalusia population statistics based on administrative records is an activity resulting from an experimental project for the integration and conciliation of administrative sources and population-based statistics, the purpose of which is the interconnection and statistical use of information at the individual level from various administrative records of a socio-economic scope. Starting from the Andalusian Longitudinal Population Database (BDLPA) as the backbone of the project, the interconnected sources provide information on the different individual situations collected in them with exhaustive population coverage. To this end, the general processing applied consists of coherently merging the information from the files of administrative origin at the individual level, using probabilistic techniques of linking records, in order to provide an appropriate basis for practicing a multidimensional approach in the study of the resident population in Andalusia.
