La Cartographic Base of Andalusia 1:10,000 - BCA10 is conceived as a 1:10,000 scale topographic database, gathering the spatial location of the structural elements of the territory (relief, communications infrastructure, hydrographic network, buildings and settlements, uses of the plots, land use, place names, etc.), and intended for data processing exploitation by computer systems.

It is a reference product of a horizontal nature for those projects, analysis, studies, etc. that require spatial modeling or the geographical position of the elements that make up the territory, or simply to form a geometric base on which to situate and contextualise elements (e.g. planning, preparatory engineering studies, establishment of agricultural plots, land use, definition of road networks, tracks, hydrography, etc.)
